Collections Search

Search for artworks in the Block Museum’s permanent collection by keywords ranging from artist to media. Individual object records contain the following information: artist, title, date, object category (e.g. print, photograph, sculpture), object type (e.g. intaglio, collage, bronze), media (e.g. etching, ink, acrylic), donor or gift information, and museum accession number. The advanced search allows you to query or browse by information fields of your choice.

Many of the object records contain images. The Block Museum respects the rights of the artists who created these works and for that reason we must remind you that you may not reproduce, alter, or transmit any artwork from our database for any reason other than personal use without first obtaining written permission from the copyright holder. In many cases the Block Museum does not own the copyright to the artworks in its collection.
